It was 1936 in the rural village of Franconia, Montgomery County Pennsylvania, that Clarence HAGEY first started local school bus service. His first contract was an amazing $1.50 per day! When World War II broke out and gas rationing was instituted, Clarence started local factory shuttles to take factory employees to work. When the war ended he and his wife Elsie purchased charter coaches and started conducting tours to New York City, Washington DC, and Florida. His sons Gerald & Donald helped with the venture. Eventually schools, churches, local businesses, scout groups etc. all began using HAGEY Coaches for their charter trips, the HAGEYS also sponsored many sightseeing tours for the local traveling public. The need for more coaches grew as the area prospered, and as more families with children moved into the area the need for more school buses increased too.

Today HAGEY COACH & TOURS, and TRANSPORTATION SERVICES INC. our school bus company operate more than 150 vehicles out of our new 22 acre terminal located on Schoolhouse Road, Souderton, PA., in rural Franconia Township, Montgomery County.
