Day 1

Niagara Falls is actually two falls: the Canadian Horseshoe Falls falls 170 feet into the Maid of the Mist pool, and the American Falls where the water plunges vertically ranging from 70 to 100 feet to the rock at the base of the Falls. More than 6 million cubic feet of water go over the crestline every minute during peak daytime hours.

Since 1846, millions of visitors including presidents, kings, and movie stars, have enjoyed the Maid of the Mist boat tours of Niagara . It is the oldest tourist attraction in North America . The world famous Maid cruises right to the base of the American Falls where you will hear the water thunder on the rocks and feel a cool mist on your face.

The Floral Clock is designed, planted and maintained by the Niagara Parks Commission. The “floral face” of the clock is changed twice a season. Formed by 15,000 plants, the Niagara Floral Clock was built in 1950 inspired by the original floral clock in Edinburgh , Scotland.
