Itinerary:
Rest Stop, on own, I-95 rest stop.

11:30 a.m. Arrive Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens in Virginia. Browse around the New Orientation Center and Museum.

12:30 p.m. Enjoy Lunch at the Mount Vernon Inn. There is an entrée choice:

• Honey Fried Chicken - homemade mashed potatoes and fresh garden vegetables
• Roast Beef, with gravy - homemade mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables
• Virginia Sugar Baked Ham, sliced ham with a Honey-dijon sauce served with homemade peanut stuffing and fresh garden vegetables

Following lunch, you can tour the estate and burial place of George and Martha Washington. The estate has undergone a $100 million expansion. A museum with six galleries will exhibit his family’s personal items like furniture, books, china, and clothing-many of which will be on display for the first time. Highlights of the visitor's center include an exact replica of the mansion in miniature (furniture and all) and a stained-glass window depicting key events in the president’s life.

4:00 p.m. Depart Mount Vernon.
