Day 1

• Travel westward through Pennsylvania and Maryland into West Virginia’s Cheat Mountains
• After meeting your local guide in Cumberland, Maryland, head to lunch (included) at a local favorite
• View the majestic formations at Seneca Rocks in the Monongahela National Forest
• Overnight: Elkins, West Virginia
• Dinner (included) at a local restaurant
• Branson-style entertainment at the American Mountain Theater

Day 2

• Continental Breakfast (included) at hotel
• Walk next door and enjoy the Morning Hootenanny
• Board the train for the Cheat Mountain Salamander Ride, lunch (included), going through some of the wildest mountain wilderness you will ever experience
• Then get on board the Durbin Rocket, a steam locomotive offering many beautiful river and mountain views in the Monongahela National Forest
• Dinner (included) awaits us at the College of Davis’ Graceland Mansion

Day 3

• Continental Breakfast (included) at hotel
• This morning we travel back through the Canaan Valley
• Tour the National Radio Observatory, site of the world's most sophisticated radio telescopes for studying the sun, planets and the solar system
• Lunch (included) at the Blackwater Falls Lodge set on the canyon's south rim, providing a sweeping view of the densely forested gorge
• Heading eastward toward home, we make a final stop at the Mountain Made Country Store
• Late evening return to Franconia
